A sound: powerful, elastic, gentle, that lyrically draws us into a surprising, poetic universe.

Improviser and composer Nicolas Gurtner (CH) (*1991) has developed a unique language on the saxophone and in his writing, marked by his training in the instrument's classical and contemporary repertoires before discovering improvised music. He has collaborated with Mélusine Chappuis, Solène Schnüriger, Laurent Estoppey, Vincent Daoud, Camerata Ataremac, vocal ensemble Pymazov, Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain, Nicolas von Ritter-Zahony, Duo Klexs, Laurenz Theinert, Love Music, Mechanical Birds Factory, Constelar, Paykuna and the Zürich Jazz Orchestra. He also co-founded Les Rencontres arrangées with Jérôme Jeanrenaud.
